National HIPAA 5010 Testing Week
The Jan. 1, 2012 compliance deadline is fast approaching for all HIPAA covered entities to begin processing version 5010 transactions. According to the recommended compliance timelines provided by CMS, payers and providers should be well on their way in external testing of electronic claims. To gauge where trading partners stand in their transition, CMS previously announced 2 national testing days where providers, payers and vendors work with local representatives on testing version 5010 transactions.
